In a minute planet of some forgetten
system, a bunch of androids used to send each other mail bits with one sole purpose, to
discover the mysteries of an exceptional being who, by handling rare combinations of light
and sound was capable of gathering people around a sort of a laser altar, filling the
macrocities with images and melodies...
This arrival was expected by them all and in the meantime, the fingers of the internauts
were busy in creating sounds to his likeness, in the hope thet some day the Grand master
could share those sounds with them.
And so Solstice come...
On July 25th and trough 26th, 1988, the first Jean Michel Jarre's fans' national meeting
took place in Madrid (Spain). During two days, apart from remembering and discovering
Jarre's work, the idea for the making of this record took shape.
As electroonic music lovers, many of the mail list () members are devoted to composing and
creating sounds that you too can discover throughout the themes, 11 gathered within
Solstice. It is more than just a sample of melodies. It is our personal homeage to one of
those electronic music pioneers who is nowadays universally recognized.
